Computers and Informatics is dedicated to publish original and significant contributions to the theory, design, and implementation of computer-based systems and information technology. The journal covers all important technical developments in the areas of information systems and computer science. We consider only original papers, however, papers previously presented in conference proceedings may be submitted in extended form.

The novel research may cover experimental practices, analytical or numerical studies or all combination of them. The journal promotes the contributions of academic and technical bodies as industrial R&D Companies from especially the interdisciplinary research groups on the above topics, thereby new emerging developments can be discussed in a scientific and technological manner.

Computers and Informatics is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed and article process and charge-free journal.

The Title Page must include all the information of the authors (Name, Surname, Institution, City, Country, email address, ORCID ID) You will be guided step-wise through the creation and uploading of the various files. In order to sustain a solid draft for the submitted manuscripts, the journal website includes a novel template file, which the authors can use freely to write their text. The spaces, fonts, address details, and e-mail info should be explicitly indicated in that journal template. Every manuscript page, including the title page, references, tables, etc., should be numbered correctly. Manuscripts must be written in “English”. Non-native contributors are strongly advised to ensure that a colleague fluent in the English language or a professional language editor has reviewed their manuscript. Concise and formal English without jargon is required. Repetitive use of long sentences and passive voice should be avoided. British and American spellings are acceptable however must be consistent with the meaning. To speed up the processing, authors must use the manuscript template file.
In principle, the journal follows the conventions of Scientific Style and Format, The Council of Science Editors (CSE) Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers, CSE, Reston, VA, USA. If symbols such as ×, µ, η, or ν are used, they should be added using the Symbols menu of Word. Degree symbols (°) must be used from the Symbol menu, not super-scripted letter o or number 0. Vector multiplication symbols must be used (×), not the letter x. Spaces must be inserted between numbers and units (e.g., 3 kg) and between numbers and mathematical symbols (+, –, ×, =, <, >), but not between numbers and percent symbols (e.g., 45%). Please use SI units. All abbreviations and acronyms should be defined at first mention. Latin terms such as et al., in vitro, or in situ should not be italicized.
Manuscript content can be organized as follows: Research articles should be divided into the sections listed below or as appropriate. Principal sections should be numbered consecutively (1. Introduction, 2. Materials and methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, etc.) and subsections should be numbered 1.1., 1.2., etc. Do not number the Acknowledgements or References sections.

Please upload the similarity report of the manuscript. A similarity report is a plagiarism test report. The authors need to provide a full-text originality report in a PDF file. The similarity report must be prepared by following the rules;

The acceptable similarity report percentage for Computers and Informatics is <=20% and the maximum percentage from the same source is <=3% After examining the similarity report, the editorial team will decide whether the manuscript will be directed to review.

Please explain in your own words the significance and novelty of the work, the problem that is being addressed, and why the manuscript belongs in this journal. Do not simply insert your abstract into your cover letter! Briefly describe the research you are reporting in your paper, why it is important, and why you think the journal's readership would be interested in it.

Upon certifying that neither the manuscript nor its main contents have already been published or submitted for publication in another journal, papers are accepted for the possible publication process, as detailed on the journal's website. The form must be signed by the corresponding author on behalf of all authors and must accompany all submitted papers. Please refer to the form for additional copyright details. Once a manuscript is submitted, authors cannot add, remove, or change the order of authors. Any such modifications will result in the cancellation of the submission.

Manuscripts may be rejected without peer review by the editorial team if they do not comply with the instructions for authors or if they fall outside the scope of the journal. Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, and after referee-recommended revisions are completed, the author will not be allowed to make any changes to the version accepted by the editor. Before publication, galley proofs are always sent to the authors for corrections. Any mistakes occurring due to negligence during final printing will be corrected in an errata section in a later issue if they exist. However, this process does not cover errors left uncorrected by the author in the proofs.

Computers and Informatics follows the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for any publication disputes. The following ethical duties and responsibilities are outlined in accordance with the guidance and policies set forth by COPE.

The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is essential for the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. Therefore, it is important that all parties involved in the publication process – the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, and the publisher – adhere to the expected ethical standards.

#Responsibilities of Authors

Authors who submit manuscripts to Computers and Informatics are expected to comply with the following ethical responsibilities:

- Authors must participate in the peer review process.
- Each author must contribute equally to the research.
- Authors should ensure that all data presented in the article is authentic and accurate.
- Authors are obligated to provide retractions or corrections if mistakes are found.
- Authors should list all references and disclose any financial support.
- Authors should confirm that their study is free from plagiarism and fraudulent data.
- Authors are forbidden from submitting the same research to more than one journal.
- Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest.
- Authors must confirm they have obtained participant consent and the necessary permissions for the sharing and analysis of data used in the study.
- Authors must provide an Ethics Committee Approval Certificate if applicable.
- Authors must upload the originality report of their study during submission.

# Responsibilities of Reviewers

The review process at Computers and Informatics follows a double-blind review system, which enhances publication quality by ensuring confidentiality and objectivity. Reviewers do not contact authors directly, and their reviews and comments are submitted through the journal management system. As such, reviewers are expected to accept the following ethical responsibilities:

Reviewers must:

- Review manuscripts objectively.
- Have no conflicts of interest regarding the research, authors, or research funders.
- Identify relevant work that has not been cited in the manuscript.
- Treat all articles confidentially.
- Provide constructive feedback in a respectful manner, avoiding personal attacks, hostility, slander, or insult.
- Complete reviews on time and in accordance with the stated ethical guidelines.
- Inform the editor if they encounter a conflict of interest and decline to review the manuscript if necessary.

# Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for each study published in *Computers and Informatics*. Therefore, editors must adhere to the roles and responsibilities set out by the "COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors," published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Editors must:

- Ensure each manuscript is reviewed fairly, impartially, and promptly.
- Ensure that articles are published in accordance with the journal's publication policies and international standards to guarantee quality.
- Have full responsibility and authority to accept or reject articles.
- Ensure no conflicts of interest in their decision-making process.
- Ensure the journal's continuous development.
- Promote the publication of corrections or retractions when errors are identified.
- Preserve the anonymity of reviewers.
- Monitor publishing ethics by the editorial board.
- Maintain the integrity of the academic record.
- Ensure that business interests do not compromise intellectual and ethical standards.
- Be open to publishing corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when necessary.
- Select new members of the editorial board who can contribute to the journal and are qualified.
- Send manuscripts to reviewers based on the subject expertise of the editorial board members.
- Communicate regularly with the editorial board.
- Address ethical issues in publishing.
- Arrange editorial board meetings to develop publication policies and the journal.

# Responsibilities of Publisher

*Computers and Informatics* is committed to ensuring that commercial revenue does not influence editorial decisions. The publisher will also collaborate with other journals or publishers when it benefits the editorial process.

The publisher must:

- Ensure editors are responsible for the entire manuscript submission and review process.
- Accept editorial decisions made independently by the editors.
- Protect the intellectual property rights of all published articles and maintain records of unpublished articles.
- Take all necessary precautions against scientific misconduct, fraud, and plagiarism.

# Plagiarism Detection

The use of third-party ideas or words, whether in their original or slightly altered form, without proper citation, constitutes plagiarism and will not be tolerated. Even if a citation is given, failure to use quotation marks around directly quoted text still constitutes plagiarism. Reusing the author's own previously published work, with or without citation, is considered self-plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts must include an Originality Report, which compares the manuscript to previously published works. Manuscripts with significant similarity to other published works will be rejected and will not be considered for publication. Authors must upload the originality report when submitting a manuscript. The peer review process is crucial for successful scientific publishing. *Computers and Informatics* is committed to maintaining the integrity of the peer review process and assisting the scientific community in all aspects of publishing ethics, particularly in cases of suspected duplicate submissions or plagiarism.

Digital Archiving
Computers and Informatics ensures long-term preservation of its articles by archiving them in recognized repositories. The LOCKSS system is utilized to collect, preserve, and present the journal's content.

Repository Policy
Computers and Informatics allows authors to deposit versions of their work in institutional or other repositories without any embargo. Authors can deposit the following versions:
1. Submitted Version: The author's original manuscript before peer review.
2. Accepted Version: The manuscript after peer review but before final publication.
3. Published Version: The final published article.
Authors can self-archive on personal websites, institutional repositories, and public and commercial subject-based repositories.
